Rotary International History:

Founded by Paul Harris in 1905, Rotary International is the Worlds First Service Organization.  Rotary has over 1.4 Billion Rotarians of all ages across 220 Countries.  This gives Rotary a very large reach, to do a lot of good in the world.

Rotary, Club of Romeoville History:

Rotary, Club of Romeoville was chartered in April of 2000. Our membership is made up of Rotarians dedicated to being People Of Action, through local and international service, as well as maintaining the highest level of ethics in their personal, and professional lives.

Our Club has done many projects and fundraisers to support efforts in Romeoville and near by communities, as well as Internationally.  These initiatives, along with those from other Rotary's around the world, have helped shape the Rotary we all know today.  

Rotary Focus' on our history, because it's what brought us to where we are today.  But, we also put a huge focus on our future, because that focus is what will guide us to where we want to continue to go. 

Rotary has several Areas of Focus, which we believe will not only help us today, but better the world of tomorrow.  These focus' and goals can't be done without our Rotarians who are dedicated to being People of Action.

How Do I Become Part of Rotary's Future?

     It's like we said before, it takes Billions of people fighting for important causes to make the global impact Rotary has been, and will continue to make.  But Billions of people don't just pop up out of no where [that'd be really nice, but it hasn't happened yet!].  To make an impact as large as Rotary's, it takes a lot of communities, villages, cities, and many groups in these places.

     But what do all of these things consist of?  PEOPLE!  People just like you who want to make an impact not only in their community, but around the world!  And how do people like you help to make this impact? The answer is pretty simple. Volunteer!  This could be by volunteering your talents, your time, your money, or all of these things!  Being a Rotarian is not only an impactful way, but its also a fun way to group all of these things together, and truly put Service Above Self.
